I enjoyed this. I really did. But it's just not a 5 star for me. it got to the point where it felt very repetitive. Where they just had a cycle of "we can't be together. It won't work. Lets fuck." Rinse and repeat 32667488 times. I loved them as a couple. They are so adorable and hot together. The chemistry was ...more
I'm not sure how to put my rating on this one into words, but I'll try. I liked the characters for the mo2.5⭐️ Callum + Jett Strangers | Brat | Age gap
I'm not sure how to put my rating on this one into words, but I'll try. I liked the characters for the most part. The story felt sped up though. Like limited detail for no real reason. It wasn't a novella. So it was as if the author just said "long story short". It just made it hard to stay attached to the story and characters when things felt incomplete, choppy, or abrupt throughout. This is my first book from this author, so I'm not sure if that's their standard or not.

Really disappointed. Can't recommend it. The whole book felt like a 3rd act breakup.

Really disappointed. Can't recommend it. The whole book felt like a 3rd act breakup.
Felix is insufferable and only redeems himself slightly by the end of the book, if at all. There's spoiled brats and toxicity and then there's Felix. Sweet baby Nico deserved so much more than he got but unfortunately for him, he fell in love with an idiot. We also had side characters interfering with this relationship the entire time to the point where you could mistake the second MC as someone else entirely for a good portion of the book.
Felix and Nico had their first time together and then Felix literally goes and gets plowed raw by the other guy the next day. When Nico requested they don't see anyone else he was told no. Again, he deserved so much more. He gave so much and received crumbs in return.
The only thing this book had going for it was Nico and the mirror sex scene.
This was also my first Scarlett book and will probably be my last.
