I got a real kick out of being able to catch which illustrations would go on to be used for the deluxe covers these days. The vibes are so pleasant and the art really just takes my breath away. I think previously I've thought the volumes have felt a little length, but given the fact that there is so shake ups in this volume the pacing works pretty well. You just can't go wrong with this series, honestly. It has enough yuri vibes to take you over the moon whenever the robots are together. Its so great in so many ways. ...more

There are many strong images and sequences that made me feel like i need to slow down and savor the art being shown to me. The pages scream to be appreciated, really. The plot itself is somewhat muddled, but I think I understand some of it. Self destruction and the intentional destruction of Denji's self to abuse Pochita's power. It is interesting the commentary that comes in relation to the Age Devil's offer, and I hope to see more from it. One of the better volumes from Part 2 so far, but I still miss the enjoyable friendships Denji had from Part 1. ...more

It is a refreshing Lets all give it up for adults doing the action for this volume. It wasn't all of it but it was enough that I was happy to see it. It is a refreshing twist to be able to see older people, who have strong abilities, be able to handle themselves. It also shows clearly the level complications we're dealing with here. These are some strong mother fuckers and the author knows how to show it. Power creep is always going to be something I'm side eyeing with nervousness, but so far I think the author has warded it off pretty well. Things feel justified and make sense when they are overcome. I look forward to seeing Momo returned to her full glory, but I wish the love triangle stuff would get resolved sooner rather than later. I really can't wait for Momo and Okarun to make it official. ...more

Def a mildly point as the story goes along to getting Momo un-shrunk and stuff. I wish there was more to it but I also appreciate that the new student was handled quickly, and her issue is mildly relatable. Being good a one point in your life but stumbling because of various factors. I do really look forward to seeing more of that nurse. It has all the strong emotional family stuff that I like in this manga with some extra sick action to boot. The only thing that holds it back from being a five star volume is the fan service. The maid outfit was one thing. It was gross, and I hated it, but it was one thing. Rin's outfit is far more scantily clad and far grosser. If that is what is expected for idols to wear, I'm shocked. There were so many better option for the author to choose, and yet he didn't. I love so much about this series but it just can't shake some of the creepier aspects sometimes. ...more

I like the slice of life elements being under cut with the reality of "Hikaru's" existence. Very slice of life but also the comedy in it is funny in its own charming way. My only real issue with it is that there are so many characters. Its more like a bunch of small stories focused on characters here and there and all, so it can feel like a lot when you first experience all the different characters. Rereading it, it does get easier to catch on to who is who though. ...more

I long for the day Zuma will be able to join the found family full time, but I guess I have to wait a few more volumes for that to kick in. As with all backstories in this manga, it's tragic but real. I believe that this kind of thing can happen to a person, it's just lucky that there was someone willing to give Zuma the attention he needed. Very meaningful story. The expressions were perfect. Still not the biggest fan of the jumanji thing going on, but as a means of introducing Zuma as a character I can appreciate it more. ...more

I knew that power creep was an issue with this series, from what I read online, but this entire ark really balances the moments of power versus the moments close to defeat well. I really believe that only the most powerful yo-kai could take out the alien fleet. Even with minimal information about the slit mouthed woman those flash backs floored me. Emotions and this series are handled so well! And then the bit at the end with the friendship and found family vibes. UGH, it's so good! That is what I love about this series. I don't read a lot of shonen, mostly Chainsaw Man recently and previously I've read some My Hero Academia, so while I know shonen fights can get crazy I've never seen it with my own two eyes. The personal story telling aspects still hold up really strong too. Vamola's backstory is beautifully shown and just as gut wrenching as a lot of the others shown in this series.
