The blue alien hero, Aehako, was so comically full of himself and I'm pretty sure he knew it. But also sweet and caring. Glad everything turned out ok for him and that someone brought some joy into Kira's life. These keep getting better rather than worse which is a nice change of pace from some of the series I've read and left unfinished.
I read book 1 & book 1.5 on my Kindle and listened to this one on audio and it was an adjustment. I had already worked out their voices in my head so I read book 1 & book 1.5 on my Kindle and listened to this one on audio and it was an adjustment. I had already worked out their voices in my head so hearing Raahosh voiced by a human male voice was an odd experience. But I suppose it's hard to find aliens to read these.
Once I got over it, I enjoyed the story. I mean, I knew going in that it was a forced kidnapping and that Liz and Raahosh were both stubborn, so I was expecting some fireworks and protests and all that and that's exactly what I got. So not disappointed there and not feeling hateful towards either of them to be honest. They're both bossy and grumpy and that was fine. Not always fun but understandable. I'd be grumpy as hell in that situation too. There are some nice surprises that some people are spoiling so if you want to go in blind I recommend doing just that. I'm glad I did.
Anyhow, I'm giving it a 3 because I liked it. It wasn't really an emotional gut punch for me or something I'll remember for very long but it was fun while it lasted....more
