Rachel Caine is a fantastic writer and when I found out she had a thriller out, I just had to get it. Stillhouse Lake as lovely, but I adored Killman Rachel Caine is a fantastic writer and when I found out she had a thriller out, I just had to get it. Stillhouse Lake as lovely, but I adored Killman Creek.
I loved that we got different points of view (POVs), it gave such a dynamic feel to the novel that I really felt was missing from Stillhouse Lake.
The mystery/thriller aspect of Killman Creek is even more exciting than SL. I was in the edge of my seat throughout the whole novel and literally could not stop reading it for a second. I mean, lunch and dinner were had whilst reading it.
The characters develop much more in KC as well and the multiple POVs allow us to understand their motivations better. I admit that KC actually made me sob at one point and that hadn’t happened in a long time. It’s hard for a book to touch me so, and I owe it all to the craft that Rachel Caine has developed. You can’t help but feel for these people and just keep reading while hoping everything will be ok.
I really don’t want to spoil anything, but you need to check out SL before diving into KC, I guarantee you won’t regret it.
I’m just glad that there is a third book in the horizon, I’m already dying for it! ;)...more

Aiken, also known as Shelly Laurenston, is a master wt writing paranormal romance with exciting plots, incredible world building, hilarious moments and off-putting characters. Bring the Heat is a perfect example of that and it was a joy to read.
I confess that I have a bit of a hard time remembering all of the returning characters, but I did a quick check on the blurbs of previous novels in the series and I was all set. I love how much page time we got with all these past characters and couples, it made me so happy.
The main couple in Bring the Heat is Brannie and Aidan, they are so amazing together. However, their romance is not one of those full of obstacles, other than maybe their own resistance. Therefore, we get to spend more than half of the book with a bunch of other fantastic characters and story lines specially with the newest generation.
All in all Bring the Heat is superb and an awesome addition to the Dragon Kin series. Yes, the romance could have fit into a novella, but giving us a full-length novel was a brilliant move, specially in a novel that feels like the end of an arch for the series. That way we got some closure from other characters and it opened up new opportunities for new story lines and books.
If you enjoy Aiken and Laurenston sense of humor, writing style and books, you will absolutely love this book!...more
I love when Molly Harper presents us with another novel in this delightful city/world. Accidental Sire isI want to live in Half-Moon Hollow, so badly!
I love when Molly Harper presents us with another novel in this delightful city/world. Accidental Sire is a joy and pleasure to read. Seeing the characters I have come to love show up was the best part of Accidental Sire for me.
The romance in this new Half-Moon Hollow installment was just ok. I have always liked Ben whe I saw him in previous books and I absolutely loved Megan, I thought she is an awesome addition to the series. Megan and Jane's relationship was another highlight for me and I would have been totally ok if that was all this story was. A story of this young girl finding herself in this paranormal world by accident and totally crushing it.
However, this is a paranormal romance and its weakest link is Ben. Ben was an absolute jerk for most of Accidental Sire and by the time he and Megan were ready to be together I couldn't help but wish she would find someone else, because I totally think she deserved better.
Yes, I admit, Ben did get better in the end. I just think it was too close of not being too little to late. I am happy that they are happy, though LOL.
All in all Accidental Sire is as awesome paranormal adventure with an ok romance, but that is enough to make for a great addition to the Half-Moon Hollow series, one of my fave series ever!
I love a great steampunk series and the Ministry of Peculiar Occurrences series is one of the best out there.
I absolutely adore4.5 stars!

I love a great steampunk series and the Ministry of Peculiar Occurrences series is one of the best out there.
I absolutely adore the world Pip and Tee created. Books and Braun are one of the best couples in fiction and love their support system, their friends, their banter and their adventures.
The Diamond Conspiracy might be the best entry in the series yet. Braun and Book's world gets even more turned upside down and the new elements Tee and Pip added to the series left me speechless.
I LOVE this series and I hope you'll give it a shot. I hope it gets more and more books! I can't wait for the next adventure!...more

I really like the world Alexandra Ivy has created for her Sentinels series. It is a fantastic world, full of adventure, intrigue and great characters that I am looking forward to revisit.
Since it had been almost exactly an year since I read Born in Blood, I had a bit of a hard time remembering it's story and the world's particulars. I did glimpse at the previous book, but Blood Assassin did a pretty good job in getting me situated and back into the thick of things.
Fane and Serra's story is alluded to in Born in Blood and I really enjoyed getting to know these two better in Blood Assassin. I really love the ratio of smex, romance and action in The Sentinels series, it feels like the perfect balance for a PNR.
Fane is sexy as hell and Serra is a great, strong heroine. Their relationship is years in the making and when it is finally time for them to be together it is combustible.
Great addition to a very promising series! Cannot wait for more!...more

I am a HUGE Shelly Laurenston fan! Her Shifters series is one of my favorite PNR series ever and her Dragon Kin series written by her as G.A. Aiken, is amazing!
When I found out she was starting a new series, I freaked out and when I saw it available and got it on Netgalley, it made my month!
The Unleashing is a great start and introduction to a brand new world and series. I loved the mythology Laurenston has inserted into this fantastic world. Such richness of characters and creatures, I cannot wait to read more.
Kera and Vig are such an awesome couple! I loved their romance from beginning to end. I really loved how awesome Kera is right from the beginning and the stalkerish behavior Vig shows in the beginning is just this side of creepy
The one minor thing that bothered me was how many POVs we get in The Unleashing. It was fun, but it was maybe one too many.
Despite that, The Unleashing is a superb start to a series by one of my fave authors!...more

If I had to write a review with only one word, it would be BRILLIANT! Light My Fire is hysterically funny, sexy and action-packed, everything I absolutely love in a great Paranormal Romance novel.
I readily admit I was very nervous going into Light My Fire. It has been 2 years since the last Dragon Kin novel and I was worried I was going to be completely lost. I also admit, I read the blurbs of the previous novels just to help myself remember the names of the characters. That really helped and honestly, it wasn't very necessary. Aiken does a superb job in helping the reader get re-acclimated with the world and vast number of characters.
Despite clearly being a transitional novel, getting us ready for a huge war, Light My Fire doesn't feel like one. The adventure and heartbreak we go through is incredible and I loved every single moment of it.
If you enjoy your PNR sexy, epic and hilarious this is the series for you! I hope the Dragon Kin series goes on for a long time!...more
