I was lucky enough to win an ARC copy of this but my opinions are only swayed by cupcakes and I received no cupcakes.
I loved this. I will fully admit I was lucky enough to win an ARC copy of this but my opinions are only swayed by cupcakes and I received no cupcakes.
I loved this. I will fully admit to wanting to know more about Billy, and I found that distracting but that was a me issue. I just REALLY want to know more about the hot ex-cop.
Anyway.
I loved Jasper and Austin. Loved their romance. I hated the creepy, asshole of an ex Rupert. This was a fun story with a few moments of light angst and plenty of emotions.
It's a great addition to the True Blue series. Definitely recommend.

There's definitely a lot going on.
I was rooting for both of them. Greatly enjoyed this short novella.
Side note: a part of the plot involves hate crimes against the LGBTQA+ community. It's resolved and handled well, just thought it deserved a trigger warning for anyone who needs it.

That does speak to the power of the writing though.

However, I LOVED this book so, so, so much.
It was sweet and wonderful. A little angst here and there, interpersonal stuff, nothing that weighed the story down too heavily for me. (Important only because I was reading it at 5 am and not prepared for angst,)
Desta and Elias's romance was so heartwarmingly wonderful. Teary in places. They do face adversity. There's an honesty and a brilliance to how the story is woven. I loved all the side characters (except Sam, but to be honest, I think we all know a Sam. I certainly do.)
I adored this story. It was sweet and fluffy and everything I needed to read right now. Just a happy, joyful, relatively low angst romance. DefinitelyI adored this story. This one starts out with a bang with a little drama happening at Joy Universe. I love that we get all the familiar characters from the previous stories. I was invested in Grant and Luke before I'd really gotten too far into the story.
The kids were cute. Their side angst was handled brilliantly. I greatly enjoyed this romance. Highly recommend....more

John Wilson was a wonderful introduction. I loved Phryne's meddling with his relationship. It made a fun side plot to the book.
The murderer was elusive until right at the end for me, which is always satisfying. I hate it when I figure out who did it too early.

No Lin Chung, really, which was a shame. I love him in this series.
Tinker is probably one of my favourite additions. I hope we see more of him in any future books. I love his character.
The mysteries were intriguing.
I loved Phryne's adopted daughters. Dot was a delight as always. And the absurd nature of human beings was on display once again.
