Here is a completely witty and antelligent fable of our times, but intertwinned sith such deeply humane feelings and overview of the unity of life, cooperaton and love as a binding force beyond race or creed, that I was completely taken into the story, the relationship of the Robot with her Goose son.

It opens a new space in the realm of thriller writing and the characters are incredibly interesting and vivid, especialy the central character...

The touching and poignant story of the Author's life shows, whithout question, that to search for meaning and to aspire to fulfill a dream are the most powerful incentives to live. Having been a contemporary of Freud and Adler, unlike these psychiatrists, Frankl finds that it is not the pursuit of pleasure (Freud) ir the thrist for power (Adler) that motivates human kind, but rather LOVE and the Meaning one finds to keep on. He also shows that to have a powerful inner life is way more determinig in one's own capacity to survive, than to have a strong physical body.
An inspiring and transformative book where LOVE becomes the greatest force and the beauty of nature can be a balm for the soul even in the most dire of circunstances.

His style is original, and somehow his brisk way of writing reminds me a bit of Saramago, the Portuguese Nobel Prize winner.
The story itself creates in the reader something similar to a suspense, but in a way I was expecting the end to be more defined...

The fictional presentation of an alternative history of Portugal and the inclusion in each short story of the presence of the occult, is superb! I just LOVE the result!!! And such a new voice!
Regarding the book, the plot, the ambience, the characters (larger than life) all concurs to make a reader very happy!
The sense of humor is subtle, the atmosphere is dense, the plot is witty and some of the characters are irresistible.

Lidia's voice is at the same time fresh and profoundly humane. The initial words by others who lived through the Holocaust and also by His Holiness Pope Francis, are inspiring and encourage all to try to live the best possible life.

I say it hurts, because it is extremely difficult to picture the change in Anne's mind and character, provoked by so much suffering and deprivation. Testimonies are not all the same, but I especially treasured the one that stated that she could always cry. Up unto almost the end, her soul was not rendered insensitive. The book is essentially a research into all possible sources of information regarding the eight people from the Annex - I would like to congratulate the Author on such a thorough work.
A very touching book, difficult only inasmuch it renders visible to us the tremendous sufferings, not only of Anne and her family and friends, but of the million others treated in a similar fashion.
