She did it, again! Jagged is the 5th book in the Colorado Mountain series by Kristen Ashley and it is abso-freaking-lutely amazing! I honestly don't believe Ms. Ashley can write a bad book, but some are better than others. Jagged is on of her best!
Zara Cinders knew the score when it came to Ham Reece. He wasn't one to settle down with anyone. Late night calls and drop by's when he was in the area is what she would make do with. This doesn't seem like much and she would never allow this out of just anyone, but Ham is different and well worth it. At least, that's what she told herself until came the time she was ready to settle down and have a family of her own. She dreaded the call that would end things with Ham for good, but he deserved to hear it from her. Even though, deep down she prayed that Ham would tell her that he could give her something permanent.
"She's not your wife", Ham grunted. "She'll always be my wife." "Well shit." His words were sarcastic, but that didn't mean they weren't dripping icicles. "See I'm in a position to apologize since I fucked your wife against the wall before we left to come here."
Graham "Ham" Reece didn't have the settling down gene that most men had. He cared about Zara, probably more than any other woman that he's ever met, but she knew the score. So, when she told him that she was getting married and he gave her what she needed and walked away. He would always care and watch over her, but would do as she asked and stay away. Now, all bets are off. He had almost been killed by a serial killer and Zara called him to see if he was okay. He knew she was recently divorced and had intended to respect her wishes, but now that she called all bets are off. Now, Ham just has to find a way to show Zara that things have changed. She can count on him for the long term and make a permanent life with him.
In true, Kristen Ashley style this book was overflowing with hot, macho, alpha-male attitude and the love that only these men can offer. I can not get enough of the men in Kristen Ashley's world and the women who love them.

Body Contact is the second book of the Hands On serial read by Cathryn Fox. The first book had me hooked while Body Contact has completely cemented my love for this series and made me a fan for life of Cathryn Fox. I can't even begin to properly describe this less than 100 page read and how much is packed into these few pages.
The series started with our quirky and inexperienced Danielle Lang propositioning her high school crush Jack Rider who just happens to be home recovering from an injury while he was playing professional football. Danielle has spent her life focusing on her education and career. Dreams of opening her own family psychology practice is within her reach. Which is why this summer job as a professor teaching sex therapy will give her the added income she needs to make her dreams come true. One problem Danielle has no personal experience when it comes to sex. Hence her working up the nerve to proposition Jack whose known for his love em and leave em ways. Jack agreed to her plan but refused to just give her the practical knowledge she needed and move on. Knowing she's a virgin Jack offers 14 days to not only make her first time more pleasurable and memorable, but to introduce her to so much more than she can imagine.
Body Contact takes us a bit deeper into Jack and Danielle's agreement. His lessons have become much more hands or shall I say mouth on and he evens takes Danielle to a BDSM club to see what gets her turned on. Even though the couple doesn't actually have intercourse in this book the sexual scenes are spicy and filled with sparks. I can't even begin to explain the amount of heat that this book packs.
" When I finally take you, when I drive my cock into that sweet pussy of yours, I'm going to own you. You're going to be so hot and wet for me, I'm going to possess every fucking inch of you. And you won't be nervous or afraid. No, you're going to be begging me for it. I'm going to ram my cock into you so hard, you're going to forget your own name. But, believe me, you'll never forget mine."
What sets this book apart from the short stories that give you meaningless, yet sizzling sex is the amount of depth this story offers. While Jack is helping Danielle out with her little problem he's dealing with some huge issues of his own. His fears that he won't be able to return to the game he loves due to his knee injury are plaguing him. Being observant and a psychologist Danielle knows that Jack could use someone to talk it out with, but he refuses to admit he needs help. Danielle finds ways to bring Jack's fears out without him realizing it unto he finds himself spilling it all.
In this second book the couple finds themselves developing a relationship and feelings that weren't planned. I am so thoroughly enjoying this series and it makes me really sad to know there is only one book left. That's not enough to make me want to savor it, though. I want the third book in my hands right now. I need to read more of this story and this couple.

Randi Alexander is the master of short, hot, sexy reads. All Hat No Cattle is exactly what I've come to expect and love about Ms. Alexander and her cowboys. This book would be a great beach read. Sure to heat you up more than the hot summer day!
Harper Johansen's job takes her from rodeo to rodeo which works out well for her, actually. Her greatest fantasy in life is to marry a cowboy, live on a ranch, and raise a family on said ranch. Her greatest memories from her childhood was on her grandparents farm and she wants the same for her children.
When she meets bullrider Shaw Donahue at a rodeo she is quickly smitten. He's everything she's always wanted and more. The more they talk the faster she sees her fantasy life disappearing. Shaw is a roughneck, not a real cowboy.
This book has it all. The witty banter between Shaw and Harper is fun and entertaining. The supporting characters are funny and hot. The sex is even hotter. I am sure you will find this book as enjoyable as I did!
