Kind of “2001” and “the Martian” have a romantic adventure in the “Bobiverse”. Very vivid. I could imagine everything so clearly. None of the sci-fi techie-tech babble was uninteresting or over my head. I’m often grateful to live in the time and place that I do, but I do think it would be awesome to be part of humanity that may see the rest of the universe up close....more

Development of live secondary characters was sparse, but I felt like I knew the victims well. Strange. However, I might read the next in series. ...more

It is narrated by Hart, and the cadence, emphasis and nuance probably wouldn't come across the same.
I haven't seen any of his movies or stand up routines, but I knew who he was going into it. Or rather, I knew about him. I do kind of feel like I know him now. I have some respect for his drive and ambition. I'm impressed by his entrepreneurship. I appreciate his perspective on life.

It's actually not that original... vampires, vampires integrating into society, craziness ensues. Sounds like Sookie, sounds like "...White Trash Zombie". I really liked both of those series so I gave it a shot.
This was funny! The dialogue and character development was well done. Set in Kentucky, it includes all the chic-lit southern tropes. The grand ol' house, the matriarch, family bickering, the whacky town characters. I couldn't go the whole 5 stars because of this, it's been done, done, done. But, again, the dialogue and the depth of the characters was truly entertaining. And Jane the vampire was a librarian. She loves and reveres books. A Master's degree in Library Science....go Jane!
I liked this first in series enough to check out the second one. Unfortunately they're not "on sale" so I probably won't binge-listen to several, like I tend to do, but I'll probably pick up book #3 before too long....more
