Wow... I enjoyed this one so much more than I expected.
Sure it was a bit on the fast side, what with the book not being so long. Everything happened Wow... I enjoyed this one so much more than I expected.
Sure it was a bit on the fast side, what with the book not being so long. Everything happened in a sort of "fast forward" motion... Except for the romance itself, that was a bit of a slow burn, which is why I could accept everything else happening in a blur.
I also could have done with a bit more about Kenna and Renee's relationship and how they became best friends and were even raising Norah together...
Norah was also a bit too mature for a 4-year-old, but hey this is fiction and I read it to feel good, and Norah made me laugh a lot, so I tried to ignore that tidbit, even if I did roll my eyes a time or 2.
That said, Kenna was definitely my kind of heroine, funny, loyal, awkward and tough. Trip was on okay guy...but Kenna, she made the book for me ;)
I think this book could have been a 5 star had it been longer and a bit more developed.
It also reminded me a bit of "Kulti" though that one is in a league all on its own.

Winter and Caiden's story is done, but now it's time for the other characters to take the lead... Very curious about their stories, so we shall see

That said, I liked the mystery and suspense and all the other characters. Read it in one go and jumped right into book 3.
