Brice Kinross has been drinking himself silly to try and come to terms with the fact that the only women Brice has ever loved, has gone and married his brother Jamie. Brice has given up on love and wants nothing to do with it, no matter what women should walk into his life. To bad he won’t be able to keep that promise to himself.
Brice’s father has had enough of his sons pitty party, and tells him that it’s his time to become laird of the family estate Roysth in the Scottish Highlands. Elisabet, Brice’s father also informs him that he thinks the current landlord is not operating Roysth properly and suspects that there is money going missing. Brice and his father come up with an idea that Brice is going to go “undercover” as someone passing by and looking for a job at Rosyth estate. This should turn up the details of what is going on.
Brice can not believe his eyes when he gets a load of what his family’s estate Rosyth looks like. The main house is not being up kept, there is a shortage of cattle, and the local village people’s houses are all in desperate disrepair. Brice immediately knows that there is something going on at Roysth and is more then determined to find out what. Just as Brice enters the main house, he notices a beautiful redheaded lady and is immediately aw-stuck by her beauty. Brice will later find out how much this women, Marsaili Buchanan, who is the housekeeper, will really mean to him. Brice will not be able to control his feelings for Marsaili and will go to the ends of the earth for her. He will also develop and ally when it comes to figuring out what the current landlord Colin Seton is really up to.
Twists, Turns, and Deceit will grace the pages of “Highland Storms.” I really loved the plot of this book and loved the main character Brice. I also liked the villain Colin Seton, and how this novel kept you wanting to read more and find out what he is up to. I hope there is a sequel to this novel as I can’t wait to read it if there is. Great job Christina and thank you for giving me the opportunity to read “Highland Storms.”
Book Review Of “Her Scottish Groom” By Ann Stephens

Diantha Quinn has suffered immense abuse from her mother and father. Diantha has also been told by her parents that she is to marry a Scottish Lord named Kieran Rossburn. Diantha’s father made a business deal with Lord Rossburn, that he would receive a huge amount of money and new ships for his village if he agreed to marry his daughter. Poor Diantha, shes does not want to marry this stranger, she only wanted to marry for love. What choice does Diantha have though? Does she stay with her parents and live a life of hell, or take her Granny’s advice and make the best of her new marriage to Lord Rossburn.
Diantha’s new husband is full of surprises and that doesn’t including the “surprises” in the bedroom that Diantha will soon learn about. Lord Rossburn is a patient man, and he will show Diantha the respect that she deserves and did not receive from her parents. Diantha will also know what it is like to be loved and wanted, even if she has trouble admitting that she has fallen in love with her new husband when she is trying to keep the marriage in name only.
Diantha and Kieran both come from different worlds. Diantha is American born and has been raised by privilege and has been brought up to never have to work for her stuff. Kiern Rossburn inherited his title from his father and has learned to run a small village, ride horses and learn to appreciate the things around him. Both Diantha and Kieran will learn new things from one another and have to accept their marriage in name and possibly in love one day. Ann Stephens lights the pages up with passion and romance in this one. I love the romantic side, and total patience that Kieran showed towards Diantha. Kieran never once looked down on his new wife like her parents did. He even stood up for his wife in front of her parents and his family. Historical Romance lovers will fall in love with Ann Stephen’s novel “Her Scottish Groom”. I look forward to reading more of Ann Stephen’s books.
