It has a main couple's story but also their friends, 6 people in total. Each chapter is labelled as whose POV it is but it does change to a different character from time to time.
The prologue shows the main Hero cheating, he's caught in the act. Chapter 1 starts 3 years later.
Spoilers.
The main couple are now married only she has had a brain injury and she resets her memory each day to just after he cheated. He has remained loyal to her and faithful even though there is no guarantee she will ever recover. He does amazing stuff caring for her, that she doesn't even know about.
The only thing she does recover and I felt this seemed unlikely not that I am an expert.
So the series deals with them trying to see if they can make it work or not.

During separation the heroine hasn't dated. The Hero has just barely started dating. He is with other woman at the bar when the almost ex turns up.
'I drove Alicia home and she tried to lure me into her house by palming my d*** through my pants. Sadly, nothing happened, not even a chub—the consequences of having your estranged wife show back up in town is limp d*** apparently.'
So although neither had been with anyone else, would the hubby have had sex with other woman if he could have? It's not said but I felt he let her touch him. So up to the reader to decide how safe that is for them.
The heroine is trying to remember, all she remembers is he's her husband. They meet up, he's trying to protect himself from being hurt again so is reluctant to get involved with her, he says he will help her so they can find closure. He walks away from her answers his phone and says '“Hey, baby,” he answers and climbs into his truck.'. It's actually his step sister on the phone. I act distracted and not fazed at all that he uses some generic term of endearment for the new girl in his life as a memory resurfaces.'
Then he meets the other woman in the diner to tell her he wants to help his wife get her memory back then he's not sure what will happen, possibly he will resume with the other woman. 'She bends down and presses her lips to mine, her tongue sliding into my mouth. It takes me by surprise after the conversation we just had, so I’m slow on the uptake. I put my hand on her shoulder to push her away, but she breaks the kiss off first. “Have a nice life, Adam,” she whispers. “And f*** you.”' The wife then approaches so she saw.
The reason she left. She found out she had fertility issues so left him as he wanted loads of kids. She fell off a horse got amnesia so didn't remember why she left until 75-80%.

The Hero does kiss an ex and lie about it to his wife prior to the memory loss. He was drunk and when he realises what is happening he pushes her away, the ex initiated the kiss.

The heroine mentions at one point that they wasted years and he didn't forget so why didn't he come to her. When they meet she feels an instant connection, has been dreaming about him and felt something was missing.
It was just so infuriating and ridiculous. If he'd stuck around ..... Grrrr
