I don't know how she creates such kind of story that has an overwhelming twists and turns but this one is so captivating and breathtaking, it will make your jaw drop, and will make you cry at the same time. Coho never fails to amaze me, because her stories will always crave you to read more of her books, as it also teaches you a lot of things in life....more

Sutton, (a young adult and middle grade author) reached out to me here on GR, and offered me to try her first adult project, l couldn't resist! It's FANTASY alright? And probably because l was instantly captivated by the cover of the book. Another reason is that, the author's name reminds me of my adorable friend Kelsi Lakela who l am missing so much.
So, l started reading..and boy, l couldn't stop! Having read the word faeries, werewolves, vampires, goblins, Seelie Court, and the "work of glamour" got me excited because it reminded me so much of The Mortal Instruments (one of my fave fantasy books). But FORTUNA SWORN is uniquely different from MORTAL INSTRUMENTS, as it has a totally different aura and flavor that adults would definitely enjoy.
This is a story of a girl named Fortuna Sworn, the last of her kind. And what they call her is NIGHTMARE-you must read this book to know what she is, and what she can do. Her brother Damon disappeared two years ago, leaving her alone. She hides among humans, spending her days working at a bar, where she met some amazing people who she consider her family. At night, she spends her time desperately searching for his brother..and this is where the SURPRISINGLY GOOD story begins.
I loved how the author created this book, and loved the characters especially the supporting characters. And though l loved the MC, l just couldn't understand why her hormones seems to kick in every time she comes face to face with either Collith(the one l like), Laurie(the one l'm intrigued with), or Oliver(the imaginary friend). So it's hard to figure out who she would end up with.
I would like to thank Miss KELSEY J. SUTTON for sending me the ebook copy in exchange of an honest review..You may have warned me that this book ends in a cliffhanger, but l never expected that kind of ending! It left me totally stunned and devastated, l wanted more! So please, send me the 2nd book asap!...more

RightBefore anything else, I would like to thank my friend John Hennessy, for once again sending me the pdf copy of this spectacular creation of his. Right now, I really am a very busy woman but with books like these, how can I resist reading?!
Reading this book opened my mind as it provided me a lot of answers to the questions I had when I was reading the three first books of A Tale of Vampires. It made me fully understand the history of everything, especially of all the characters in this tale particularly of Mariana Claremont, the main character of this book.
Here, you'll be surprised to learn the kind, loving and caring characteristic of Mariana when she was a human, you'd actually love her. But knowing what happened to her and to the only man she ever loved made me feel sad and devastated. She had a life but it was stolen from her, so I can't blame her for what she became now. She might have retained her human kind qualities but in the end, she knows what she is and what she exists to do (as what John said).
For those who want to read this series, I suggest that you should start with this one Dawn of the New Breed because as a prequel to the Murderous Little Darlings, it truly serves as the Introductory to the entirety of this tale. And for me, this book is the best among John's bests, so I highly recommend this to everyone who is 18 years old and above. And I'll be waiting for John's next book, Our Hearts Go To Their Graves!
Before I end my review, I want to greet my dear friend, John a Happy, happy Birthday! Yes, tomorrow's his birthday so cheers to you, and more power!
Wow! This book is another memorable read for me,so I am adding this to my favorite list!
This is a beautiful story of two people who have been friends Wow! This book is another memorable read for me,so I am adding this to my favorite list!
This is a beautiful story of two people who have been friends since the day they were born. But at seven years old, they got separated when Oliver was kidnapped by someone who isn't a total stranger in their town.Unfortunately, the disappearance of Oliver made a great impact to the whole town that made the parents become "overprotective" of their kids, particularly Emmy's parents who, even at Emmy's age now(17 years old),continued being so protective of her that made her keep some secrets to them. And then, after 10 years..Oliver has returned..The question is..would his coming back pick up where they left off?Would he remember what he and Emmy had become?Would he still remember their friends? FIND OUT FOR YOURSELVES!
This novel is an inspiring story of not just teenagers transforming to adulthood, but of coping parents as well because the story actually focuses not just on romance, but most importantly,on family relationships and friendship which is why I really found this adorable. The characters were perfectly developed, you could relate to them. You could almost feel what exactly they're feeling..that's why I too,had a lot of crying moments here. The main characters were strong, you couldn't help falling in love with them,as well as the secondary characters. And these are the reasons why I salute the author! She just did an incredibly great job for creating this captivating, cute and adorable story that I am now highly recommending to everyone out there!
