it was amazing
bookshelves: christian-fiction, collection

So far I've only read Broken Noel out of The Heart of Christmas. I loved it, but it's not an easy read on the emotions. The book starts out with the funeral service of Thomas's beloved wife and Noelle's mother, Lacy. Their emotions throughout the book are not white-washed, but real and raw, as are Thomas's questions for God. I enjoyed reading how Thomas's sister, his pastor, and even his hurting daughter helped him come to understand how something could be both broken and beautiful.
I've read several books by Brenda S. Anderson and have enjoyed them all.
I received a complimentary copy of this excellent story, but I've pre-ordered the collection so that I have a chance to enjoy all the stories.
