Very interesting. It opened my eyes to the mystery that is the eel. I had no idea we knew so little about them nor that they had escaped industrial farming by being so elusive and probably so rigid. Survived millennia? Watch human civilization take you down. We think we’re so smart and advanced. Nope.
The book weakens when the author tries to use his life and/or the eels as metaphors. Not that it isn’t possible, just that he wasn’t that good at it.
