it was ok
bookshelves: adult-fiction, romance

He's big. No, bigger than that. Like, bigly big. He clenches his fist, bigly. And his jaw- he clenches that. While clenching his fist. At his side. Because he is having emotions but cannot express them, except via clenching. So pay attention - yep, there it goes again: clenched. Oh and the occasional glint in his eye in his otherwise impassive face.
Meanwhile, she is not big. She is itty-bitty. Yep, big and small: very important characteristics. They come up a lot.
Also, how could he/she possible really like him/her?? A lot of unprofessionally public humping can't be a clue. No. Hm. What could it all mean?
Whimsical side activity!
Dark brooding. Past trauma. Distrust. Hm, does he/she really like me? Nah. No way.
Whimsical side activity!
Occasional secondary character remark.
Public humping. Unprofessional choices. Buttons.

Okay, I'll stop. I thought the first in this series was light and fun. I didn't quite DNF this one, but it was close. It just seemed to rehash the exact same simplistic angst and points of plot tension over and over, so that my general reading experience was Yeah yeah I get it.
I had hoped for more.

Rebekah funny review and on point!

Beth Mallett I loved this book but cannot argue with your recap! 🤣 Frankly I think all books need a blurb just like this! Well done! 👍
