Wow! I’d put Blake Couch aside and now so happy that I “Upload”ed him again. The man certainly can tell a gripping story and I loved the science, although I don’t think the reader needs to be conversant to be swept along for all of the thrills.

We are still in the midst of spike proteins evolving and science blasting us at every turn in our REAL lives; Upload with its future of designer genetics gone seriously wrong wasn’t too hard to get my mind around. Not at all comfortable- but conceivable.

Emotion versus logic: which should win out? That is a question which burdens our interactions on a global scale. The novel doesn’t answer the question. However, it does what superb science fiction is meant to do: it excites and demands that you think.

Absolutely five stars.
