When I try to start at #1 to end, even new writers, for series, I care about the hero(s), how they (inter)act. Cole and Hitch are brave, kind, loyal, good, and funny in a wry way. Oh, expert shooters. Knott captures Parker's humor, valiant efforts to stay on the side of justice, rather than letter of the law.
