Meh characters and romance. Gross that H is only used to prostitutes so he kept leaving h wads of cash after their sex dealings--whether she’d refuse him or agree. But will give Book2 a chance.
Lacked emotional and romantic involvement that Dubious-Consent had in spades. No feels/no angst.
h’s limb disability was interesting. But her POV and character were too remote and neutral to make me feel sorry for her plight.
Pacing is average and not really a boring book but not gripping. After about 20%, I started skimming the book until the end to find out what H’s true intentions with h are.
But @ the end:
1.) H’s interest in h is still a mystery (aside from some physical attraction but even that's not clear).
2.) I’m not at all convinced that he’s in love with h nor that she’s that physically attractive to him to marry despite her stealing his valuable software creation to give to her evil stepbrother (who's blackmailing her with photos of her mother cheating with some other man who's not his father).
