Sigh....I wish I hadn't waited so long to read this. The Hawke Family series is one of my all time favorite series starting with Savage...that story rocked my world. Life happens and other books come along and I just felt that a Second Generation wouldn't be for me. Oh, how wrong I was. Nighthawk, the prequel may not be necessary but it is one hell of a hot story that gives you the "before" that you just really want to have...so read it first. Jack (Mina) and Isaac have an auspicious start in this story...for good reason. Plenty of surprises and shoot 'em out action in this story but what remains firm and true in the Hawke Family is that they will forever remain the protectors of those they love. Not even close to submissive but full encompassing faithfulness and love. I'm off to the next book because Jude's story has me completely curious.
