I know why this was labelled as a PNR but actually it’s very light on the paranormal stuff.
I would have liked more explanation of Ned and his background as it was harder to connect with him without.
The author’s note says it is not required to read any prequels to understand this book and while that may strictly be true I wonder if it would have made a difference if I had. Since Ned does feature maybe what I felt was needed for him in Thrall was actually in the prequel.
