An Irish island: dark, isolated, eerie and creepy. This alone is enough for me to enjoy this book. Reminded me of the moors in The Hound of Baskerville.
A high profile wedding: Jules and Will are famous and this wedding on the Irish wilderness will definitely become the trend setter.
The Schoolmates: Will's classmates who went to a public school act like a bunch of unruly boys rather like those in The Lord of the Flies.
The bride's sister Olivia: a mentally unstable 19 year old who feels so out of place in the island. She has morbid thoughts all the time.
The other characters are also equally interesting. All have secrets to hide or a past they don't want to remember.
The body: yes in the beginning of the book, we know someone dies.
What I loved about this book is how its told from the perspective of 6 people. Its never boring. All the characters are different and well developed. I was able to predict Olivia's secret as well as who the murderer was. Always had my suspicion right. As for the other developments, I was surprised as I never imagined it coming. Not giving 5 stars because of way too many coincidences.
Nevertheless this was a very interesting read. I would definitely read it again.
