bookshelves: twentieth-century, fantasy, ya, england, cross-dressing

A lighter series than my old fav the Abhorsen series. I did quite enjoy the first book in this newer series, but this second book started to drag for me in the last third or so. I had to push to finish it. So, somewhat reluctantly for a fav author, I give only 3 stars.
