Reading for the 2nd time. Most recently started July 25, 2023.

Another historic great novel by this author. Elizabeth, boxed in an unwelcome situation after father dies, answers an ad for a mail order bride written by Carl. Their interaction to each other and towards all the trials they faced are came across as realistic. When her past catches up with her, she is ultimately rescued by, well you will have to read the story to find out.
