When I tell you I started reading and catching up with this series last year just for this book.
I stopped at book 18 (I think) and I was prepared to wait out the whole series (thinking that Lassiter would be the last ever).
I was wrong, obviously, so how could I pass up Nalla's book? Impossible.
It was nice to see all the children grown up and find out little details about what everyone's been doing. I inhaled the first 60% of this book. I don't care if the romance was meh' or that we get lesser POV again, I will read each and every book about those kids.
This series is so special for me, I started it when I was 15. So I grew up with it.
Other than the nostalgia and seeing how the author managed the time jump (I think it was pretty good, advanced enough to be believable but not so that it's ridiculous), Nalla's story wasn't that wow. Can't say I get why Nate was chosen for her and their part was sped up so much at the end.
But now I can't wait for LW's book which I hope won't be next year.
Also, it was ridiculously funny how they used Lassiter's name in phrases and exclamations.
