Dear Author,
You owe me a box of tissues.
Sincerely,
A Sobbing Reader
Right from the start the emotions were running high with this book! We get two characters who have a shared connection that forever bond them together. This is more than a student/teacher romance, much more. This is a story that runs deep. These two characters are struck with tragedy and they became each other's support system when they both needed it most. It's something very powerful, and in a way something very beautiful.
The story takes place in Spain and I loved how the author would give the readers details about the surrounds, it really made you feel like you were there. And she didn't over do it. She gave us just enough without making it feel like a travel guide. She incorporated the scenery with the story. It was very well done. This is an emotional story but also its a sweet romance with a little bit of humor thrown in. Everything came together so well from the characters, to the story line, to the writing. It was all amazing. By the end of the book, it was hard not to smile for these characters. To read about their journey on where they started to where they ended. Simply beautiful! This is a must read book!

A story of friendship, love, heartache, destruction, and healing, SOL was a beautiful read that was hard to put down. This was my first read by Leslie McAdams, but it won't be my last. This story was captivating and heartfelt. A story of friends who, while they may have different viewpoints of the world and agree to disagree on most, they'd do anything for each other. They had this bond with each other that seemed unbreakable. And it was until the unimaginable happened.
The descriptions, the details, the emotions, and all of the events that unfold within the pages was amazing. The words made me want to travel abroad that much more, to see the breathtaking views and experience the culture that I've only ever been able to experience through the words that I read so far. Leslie McAdams did a wonderful job of transporting me to another world that I felt within. The characters and their love and anguish. It all added up and created this magical story that you will love.
