it was ok
bookshelves: 2-fantasy-romance, dark-or-darkish, kindle, with-lots-of-spice

This is basically smut with and attempt at a plot. It wouldn't be bad if the smut was better and the plot actually made sense.
PLEASE read the trigger warnings (although they're insufficient) and read the reviews. I only read the former and it didn't really bother me, but I should've read the reviews first.

I'll copy here some excerpts with which I totally agree:

Hanna: "You introduce the guy called the “god eater” the monsters fear but a HAG is the one who gets the better of the dragon??? Bruh
Alex: I am a fan of monster smut, but the lack of structure and info dumping was just too much."

Ciru: "There was a lot of info dumping, inner monologue and then towards the end repetition, which serves to swell the book but in actual sense, not a lot of world building has actually taken place.
This is basically Drago's book. And we still have Mayce, Kyan and finally the stereotypical bad mate, Merik, stories to get through; which doesn't bode well with the pacing of the story.

Then people are in robes, gowns then all of a sudden leather jackets and jeans? They don't have conventional indoor plumbing but in another scene Quinn talks of DNA??"

The world buiding was atrocious, the plot holes were plotting and the pacing (considering we have 3 more books) is not the best.

HOWEVER, I liked the characters very much. I think Quinn is smart, curious, inhibited, unproblematic but very sassy (intelligent sassy). I also loved her relationship with her Shadow almost until the end.
The MMCs were cool. I loved Draco, but this book is centered on him. The others are there as landscape almost.

The smut was mostly hot!!! Beware, it is dark and there is dubcon, but I didn't mind it considering the aftercare and the dynamics between them.
There were some impossible and totally unreal situations, which dragged the quality down. Also, it got repetitive at a point because it was all the same. Well, not much, but some.

I will NOT read any other book in this series.
