Man, I just hope all the kiddos will have their own personalities and won't end up like carbon copys of the parents... L.W already looks and acts like Wrath 2.0...
Also, 21 books later we are basically back to Dark Lover with the return of the lessers and the Omega. The whole Dehstroyer prophecy had zero impact in the end, and I'm not sure what to expect of this series anymore sadly.

Oh boy, have to update because after reading the book I have THOUGHTS.

The stakes were high for this book, because after the sh*tshow that was Lassiter there was just so much to unpack in the new book: showing what happened in the last 30 years with the Brotherhood, building this new future world and explaining the changes, showing how the characters reacted and dealt with the shock of Wrath being back, introducing the new generation to set up their stories while also exploring the love story of the main couple... right? RIGHT? Well no, because we got none of that.

Please I still could not care less about the lessers's POV, we all know they are just there to be k-worded off, they just take up precious page time which could have been used for any of the above I mentioned...

But lets go into details, beware of spoilers!
(view spoiler)[ My biggest pain with this book is that we barely got anything with the BDB kids because they are just not close with each other and it makes me so sad.
PLEASE for the love of god I have been waiting for Ahgony since the Insider's Guide and I figured we will finally get to see him, that him and Nalla will be close since they are blood related cousins and their dads are identical twins... but they didn't even greet each other??... 😭 Warden please I don't care about lesser2363728456 who will d-word at the end of the book anyway, just give us AHGONY finally... 😭 I thought the books after the time jump will tell the new generation's stories, with the OG Brothers taking the backseat a bit, but where were they??
That tiny snippet in the club just left me just disappointed tbh. Because I was fully expecting Euphoria/Skins(iykyk) type partying, drama, f*cking around, but instead we got this YA highschool scenario... Also, I always pictured Qhuinn would raise a badass daughter, like Xhex or Novo, but Lyric seems like such a pickme so far, and I don't know what to think...
As for Nate and Nalla... well, I have to say I was way more interested in L.W and Bitty's YA romance than the main couple... starting from both insisting they don't give a 💩 about each other, to then Nate bonding 5 minutes later, to literally 3 DAYS later at the end of the book moving in together... it just felt so rushed. Maybe it's just me but I'm having a hard time with the insta-love that seem to be the norm in the recent books, I wish the love stories of each couple would have more buildup... Also Nalla, girl I could never because I could not find a single attractive thing about Nate, I'm sorry. His new personality is trash and all because he was dumped 30 years ago?.... I mean... think of what Z went through - and Bella still dumped his sorry ass and made him WORK for the relationship and better himself... Nate is a loser as V said, and I was not convinced otherwise at the end of the book sadly. I was expecting way worse from Z, he was fairly reasonable imo considering his daughter choose a literal trainwreck.
Also Shuli getting so much spotlight is annoying me... He is the Shein version of Peyton, at least Peyton had an actual personality other than being a pretty rich boy, had character development and was actually funny... Shuli is just annoying annoying. But I guess he is here to stay...
But seriously where was everyone in this book? Does only Z, V and Tohr work in the Brotherhood? I thought the characters from the Blood Legacy series and even the kids will be more integrated into the Brotherhood by now, since so much time has passed... (hide spoiler)]

I was probably expecting too much, but all in all I feel like the BDB world just grew too big and the Warden can not keep up with it anymore... 😔
