When I saw this book involved fake dating and vampires, I was immediately sold. This romance was cozy and cute and very easy to digest. I thought Emma’s feelings around wanting to belong and find people that would accept her were very relatable. I enjoyed the charming details such as Emma’s skunk familiar, Penelope, and the small town vibes of Charming Cove. This novel also has a chic grandmother character, a grumpy ghost, and magic galore. If you’re looking for a sweet and cozy spooky season read, then this might be the book for you.
