This book had great potential. The H was very possessive, protective, and obsessive of the h. The secondary characters were so ridiculous. Other than Nick there were no normal characters. The h was very annoying, she would shift from being hot and cold. One minute she is arguing with the H and the next they are flirting. Plus, their dialogue was also weird; a mix of sarcasm and jokes. One thing that stuck out was the amount of eating in this story. I have never read a story where the characters were constantly eating or talking about food. My biggest issue was how intimacy was handled. The h suffered a horrific assault 5 years prior and has never been in a relationship. She forces herself to be intimate with the H and can't have sex without crying and freezing. Instead of dealing with problem the h repeatedly forces herself to be intimate with him and for more the 80% of the story we are subjected to numerous scenes of the H enjoying sex while the h is crying. This really bothered me. Her solution was to keep "practicing" and she would eventually become more comfortable. I was appalled by this reasoning. I am disappointed bc I thought this story would be better.
