Tropes -
. Witchy Romance
. Witch who can see and talks to ghost
. A handsome Vampire
. Animal companion
. Fake dating ( of course )
. A ball to prepare
. A meddling grandmother
. An angry ghost

This is a cool, cozy, witchy romance book. It's quite good, but at the same time, I know I will probably forget it tomorrow. Cause with all those fantastic tropes the intensity there should be, is missing. I understand that it's a cozy book, but still I would love it if there is that intensity there.

As for the characters, both Emma and Alaric are good, fun, adorable, but again felt just average. I mean we have a Vampire, who's a Duke, and he's been just there, like where and when he will be in action.

Anyway, still it was fun to read. And I love the portrayal of family, not by blood but by connection. Also just like the first book of the series, I also like the animal companion here.
