What's unique about this book is that the author takes suggestions from other books and says to compile all that in your own book that you create yourself on regular paper and then read parts of it everyday to retrain your brain to think positively which is the key to happiness and a fulfilling life. He also suggests making up your own music compilations to listen to regularly that help keep you in a happy frame of mind. So if you've read about making gratitude journals or writing quotes and poems that you find uplifting or putting up pictures of people you admire to focus on positive things well this guy just says stick it altogether in one place which is smart. Many things are explained step by step as if it was a manual which is good. He goes on to say that by reading it everyday you apparently rewire your brain to focus on the positive and it will automatically banish the negative. He claims to have used this technique with tons and tons of athletes, stars and business people but he won't name any names or just an odd one here and there that very few people have heard of. If it's so phenomenal why aren't these people speaking up?

What I didn't like about the book was the delivery and how the author discounts every other method out there. He's very frank, somewhat full of himself and toots his own horn a bit too much for my taste plus there's excessive self-promotion for some other book he wrote too. He does however give away free templates of how to make up the book on his website so maybe he's just not the best of writers and he comes off as abrasive despite the good message. If all that doesn't bother you then you may find this book helpful.

There are other in your face approaches like Dr Phil's books but Dr Phil is funny and seems more humble and while Dr Spackman's method appears to have merit it's just too bad he couldn't get his message across in a friendlier tone.
