I was left speechless for a good while when I finished the "before" part. To say that I imagine something like that happening would be a filthy lie. I was thrown back in time, back when I felt that loss, and when you have all those overlapping thoughts and the result is the same time and time again, you come out empty handed, the answers are always lost with the ones we have to say good bye to....Today was the first day after a long long time that I thought of my lovely friend, who also left me/us brokenhearted and full of unanswered questions.
Damn you John Green, you sure can deliver a simple and yet compelling story.
