This is the second book I have read by Ann and I am becoming obsessed with this world she has built. I absolutely ate this book up and read in one sitting.
This story follows Dylan and Marlow. Marlow is a free spirit, an artist and Dylan’s next door neighbor. Dylan is a grumpy single dad and when his nanny has to quit unexpectedly, he needs to find a replacement. Marlow ends up filling the position and we all know what happens in single dad x nanny books….
This book was really fun to read and I loved every second of it. I really appreciated the fact that the romance was not rushed, and that the characters took the time to get to know one another without it feeling like it was dragging.
I absolutely loved Marlow. She was so wacky and funny. And I just adored her relationship with Lola. It was seriously the sweetest.
Oh Dylan. Where do I even start. I was not expecting him to have such a mouth on him but boy did I enjoy that. And that paint room scene…will forever live rent free in my head.
If you are looking for a cute, fun, easy, light read I highly recommend this one.
Thank you to Ann for the eARC. Seriously cannot wait until the next book…esp after that little taste we get in this one.
Overall: 4
Spice: 2.5
Tropes:
- Single Dad
- Age Gap
- Grumpy x Sunshine
- Close Proximity
- Found Family
