it was amazing
bookshelves: action, cute, funny, instalove, mm, law-enforcement, paranormal, plus-18, romance

This was such a fun read! I love this universe and all of its quirky characters. Since Jeremy's book, I've been dying to read Jake and Gage's story.

It was in the 2nd book, we all knew that Jake wasn't as oblivious as we thought in Hellhounds Never Lie. We start learning that Jake has been painting without anyone's knowledge and that he has indeed been seeing things but since he grew up very sheltered and thinking that everything paranormal was crazy talk, he was just in denial. Gage's appearance in his life came to completely obliterate that.

Jake has been painting his demon for a year without knowing who or what he is, but he is completely enamored with him so when Gage finally makes his appearance in the pub sparks fly and things start to move forward. I don't want to spoil the story but after book 2 we can all infer a few things, first Willow Lake is special in many many ways and just got a superpower couple that just up the stakes. I cannot wait for the next story, I really need Hayden's story but up next is Simon.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
