I haven’t read an American Girl book in like 10 years, but recently got back into collecting lol. I just bought a very gently used Josefina on FB Marketplace and she came with her books so I reread it, and now I want to reread all of the American Girl books because it was such an easy, enjoyable read. At this point, I only remember the plot of the character’s stories who also have movies, so it was nice to relearn Josefina’s story. Obviously, these books were written for kids, but I stand by the opinion that they are among the best books a young girl could read. Each character is so unique, yet brave, kind, and interesting, and their books do a great job of teaching kids about what it would be like to grow up at different times in history. I love them. These books made me the lil history nerd I am today lol.
