Full Disclosure - I haven't read the last 2 books prior to this one. So, I missed some stuff prior to arriving at this 30+ year time jump. From context, I understand some big stuff happened in those 2 books, but it doesn't matter as so much of it obviously got changed back and "corrected" that none of it mattered. So, I'm not sure why it happened in the first place? Never mind that tangent. Let's discuss the book at hand. This one was OK. There were little glimpses of why I loved this series, but a whole lot of why I quit reading it. I think this series was amazing through book 10. Book 11 was meh - love Blay and Qhuinn but hated the rest, and then the series devolved into way too many characters for depth and numerous worldbuilding violations. The BDB became caricatures. After book 19, I finally quit. Yet, here I am again. Those first 10 books have a hold on me that keep me coming back. Will I read the next one? Probably not. Yet, I said no several books ago and here I am.
