Killian and Millie
This book dragged me in from the beginning. I loved that Kennedy gave us some snap shots of Killian and Millie’s relationship 10 years ago. It made both characters seem more human and gave the reader a glimpse into their easy connection. Killian and Millie definitely went on a journey and the suspense was intense.
After being separated for 10 years Killian and Millie go undercover to take down a cult. They had a lot of hurt and secrets to unravel between them and that drew them even closer. The cult itself was cringy. I kept waiting for them to be discovered and that ramped up the intensity of the book.
I loved how well Killian and Millie worked together. They were truly meant for each other. They were both geniuses and I loved that Millie could see under the playboy mask Killian showed the world. His story was heartbreaking and I enjoyed him unraveling his past for Millie.
Kennedy Mitchell really knows how to write disturbing villains and there were several in this book. I enjoyed every minute, even if my heart was racing through more than 50% of the book.
