Trick is part of a program that his community service hours will keep him on probation and out of jail. Things are not going well, the last two kids he was matched to the mothers were more interested in him than making sure the children are getting what the need. His last shot is her, Riley, he can tell she is scared of new people. He wants to help her, make her feel wanted. Her mom is making him think thoughts he should not be.

I loved this story, Trick had been in trouble in the past but that is not the man he is now. He is just what both Riley and her mom, Hadley, need and whether he wants to admit they are what he needed.
