really liked it

This book was amazing! It was filled with vampires, magical mirrors, betrayals, and even a slow burn romance. My favorite part had to do with the magical mirrors. I loved how the characters could make bargains with Mirror Gods in order to gain magic, information, beauty, etc. It’s a concept that I truly felt made the book stand out.

I also loved the murder mystery! I swear the author made me doubt every single character. I honestly couldn’t figure out who was truly the person behind the murders. This led to some insane plot twists and betrayals. My jaw literally dropped every time something unexpected happened because just when you thought a character was good, they go and end up showing their true colors.

This book even had some romance. It’s a slow burn romance with very minimal spice. The book was filled with tension and a few stolen kisses, which I absolutely loved. I can’t wait to see more of the main couple’s relationship in book 2.

One last thing has to be mentioned…the book ends on a cliffhanger 😭 Literally tore my heart in two! Just prepare yourself because it was brutal. It’s gonna leave you aching for book 2!

Thank you so much Hazel St. Lewis and Book of Matches Media for the ARC 🫶
