Wow... this was.. this was something.

I can't quite tell if I had a good time or not... honestly there was a lot I was curious about but it also felt like an info dump after info dump. I've tried to review this book to friends so far and it's very hard to get a handle on it to break it down.

There are mirrors and vampires, secrets and bargains, murders and investigations. There's a Prince and a ballerina, there's friendship and found family. So there are many great elements to this world. It was just hard to keep it all straight. So much so, I'm not even going to try to write a summary, I leave it up to other reviewers.

It had a decent slow burn tension building and I definitely wanted some more kisses from Prince Emrys. I look forward to learning more about him and seeing how Quinn gets out of the situation we were left in.

I admire the author for taking on a story as complex as this. I only hope that the next entry can pull it more into focus. There was just SO much going on. I got a little too lost.

P.S. There was great rep (for what I could tell) for Dyslexia and this is owned voices based on the authors note. I also highly recommend the physical copy of this book because WOW, it is well detailed and GORGEOUS.

3.5 stars
1.5 on the spice scale

CW: murder, gore, assault
