ARC review — I LOVED this book & read it in a day. The surprises, betrayals, twists & turns had me on the edge of my seat. The story is truly like playing a murder mystery game — following clues, making your own predictions and trying to guess who was behind the chaos.

What drew me in originally was the blurb about it being familiar to Caraval and Crescent City which are two of my all time favorite series. I can confirm there are hints of both aesthetics in Gilded Wicked Mirrors!

Hazel’s words ebbed and flowed so beautifully. The story is clever & twisted in the best way. The immense details of the characters, gadgets, places and scenes are perfection and felt like I was transported as a bystander into this world.

I always enjoy a good shadow daddy and Emyrs (MMC) puts off Damon Salvatore vibes.

Quinn’s (FMC) mind is brilliant. One of my favorite story lines is a brave, intelligent female character when the odds are stacked against her. The ballerina x medical examiner cross is refreshing & quite the handy combo!

Oh, and the ending had my jaw on the floor & I cannot wait for book 2!!
