Wow. Wow. Wow.
I don’t think I’ve read a book like this. The magic system was so unique with the use of mirrors. Our fmc Quinn dreams of being a ballerina while she’s stuck in the morgue with her uncle. As she’s met with the death of her best friend, she has to team up with the man she can’t stand, Prince Emrys to solve the murder. She’s met with deals gone wrong, betrayal, and secrets and riddles at every step. This book had me hooked from the description of Caraval meets Crescent City and I was not disappointed! The banter and tension between the leads was great. I found myself trying to look for clues to solve the mystery myself (but I did not). Great twists in the end I didn’t quite expect! Definitely recommend!
