I had fun trying to figure out the history between Maddox and Atticus, and I can honestly say that I was not expecting the path that the story took!

This book focuses on a trio (Atticus, Maddox, and Lochlan) as they try to decode a page from The Tome of the Undying and I loved seeing their dynamic. I came for the necromancers and fell in love with the exorcist, what can I say?

I’m super excited that Lochlan will be the lead in book 3, I love him! This is book 2 in a series of interconnected standalones and can be read in any order. After having read The Academy of the Dead, I can’t wait to go back and read The Fey Hotel!
