I tore through this book by Molly Harper so quickly that I didn’t even get to post a “Currently Reading” graphic on my bookstagram! Witches Get Stuff Done is the first book in the Starfall Point series and was exactly what I needed to pull me back to reading after the emotional slump of the last week. Molly may be a transplant to Michigan, but she nails the pieces that make me proud to be a Michigander and mixes that thoughtfully into a book that explores grief, identity and found family in the midst of a house inhabited by toaster ghosts and the most endearing Ghost Butler. While this is the first book in the series so therefore has a bit of a cliffhanger, it also feels like a satisfying resolution for the central characters Riley and Edison while leaving a reader ready to binge book 2 straight away to uncover more mysteries of Shaddow House.
