I am really loving that Brittanée is in her hockey era. I really have enjoyed each book I have read so far and this one is no different.
This follow Aiden, the last in the Langfields, and Lennox. There is an engaging plot, a second chance, a fake relationship, mental health rep and some really hot spice.
Where do I even begin with Aiden. I think this has been one of most relatable MMCs I have ever come across. As someone who also deals with mental health issues, I really could feel for Aiden in moments and know exactly what he is dealing with when he just puts on a happy face. I felt really seen in this one.
And I can’t forget his spicy side. We love a booty man and the scene where Lennox is blindfolded…I absolutely loved his relationship with Lennox. Golden Retriever through and through. Would do anything for her to make her happy.
Loved watching Lennox grow through the book. She started out not really knowing herself and always leaving places after a bit. I loved that her and Aiden found one another again and we able to mend what they lost.
Absolutely love the text threads with the brothers. It might honestly be one of my favorite parts in these books. They always have me laughing out loud.
Thank you to Brittanée and team for an eARC. I cannot wait to see what is next.
Overall: 4.5
Spice: 3
Tropes:
- Hockey Romance
- Second Chance
- Boy Obsessed
- Found Family
- Curvy FMC
- Mental Health Rep
