This is the second book in Kay’s Paladin series and it’s quickly becoming one of my favorite series. This immediately had me hooked from page 1 and I couldn’t stop. I have been dying for more of this world since Whistleblower and Kay nailed it.

Lance and Cricket were absolutely perfect for one another. Loved how the evolved their friendship into something more. Lance was a golden retriever to his core and I ate it up the entire time. Loved that once he made a decision to be with her there was no going back for hi.
Cricket…okay I absolutely loved her character arc. She def has been a FMC that I have seen grown the most in a book in a bit. She is a sassy badass and even though at times I was screaming at her bc WTF was she doing (LMAO) I enjoyed every min of her story.
The suspense in this one was soooo good. I kept going back and forth with what was going on bc the storyline kept having me second guess myself and let me tell you I was floored at the end. Well done Kay!!

Thank you Kay and team for an eARC. I am absolutely loving this series and cannot wait for it to continue.
