I've read and loved many of Kristy Marie's books and I don't know what happened here, but this one is just not for me. The story had so much potential but IMO it was all over the place.

I gave this book three stars, because even though I had a lot of problems with it, I still kind of enjoyed reading it. The potential was there, I saw it, but it never lived up to my expectations. And I'm so sorry I can't leave a better review.

My problems with the story:
(view spoiler)[- MMC is a F1 driver and he and his biggest rival come from the same hometown. How likely is that?
- FMC is coincidentally the ex of said rival (also, very convenient) (hide spoiler)]
- IMO the story consists of about 60% of inner monologues, which I find very exhausting
- There are many repetitions, specially on how things were described
- IMO the storyline was very inconsistent and the fake dating part, for me, was almost none existent except that it was mentioned here and there
- For my liking there was no character growth or work on the fact why FMC and MMC were estranged for years
