Tru, moving from one place to the next often as a child, she never had a place that she could truly call home. That's until she heads to Silver Hills for a job as a substitute teacher and the small town becomes her place.

Henley, single dad to three girls, football player for the Mustangs and one of the best wide receivers. After getting a divorce he never thought he would find love again as his focus was only on two things, football and his kids. But that all changes one morning in a supermarket.

The love between the kids and their dad was beautiful 💜

...Henley and Tru, have instant chemistry, the banter the spice it was there.

But 🙈 one, I just couldn't connect with the female lead and second, what was supposed to be a secret wasn't actually one, with everyone finding out about it within a few days/weeks.

And the kids acceptance of the relationship felt forced.

And Cassidy, with everything she went through and how she was treated by the kids, was so heartbreaking and it felt as if she was forced to accept their relationship within a few days.

....Those last few chapters had me in tears for Henley, the darkness he faced, the unknown! 💔
