JD Robb's Taken in death was a typical in death story. Never disappointing nd always worth reading though I've always liked her psychic stories less than the others for I take my in deaths books out whenever I grew weary of the paranormal.
The rest of the short stories I just read to pass time during train travels. I don't remember all titles, I didn't find them anyway remarkable other than the story about matches and comet only because I hated it most. The heroine is a TSTL. I didn't think the other policeman was right aBout her being pretensious but, I don't know. I guess every once in a while any normal person with even just a tiny bit of conscience have given to charity at the cost of one's self. or even just once. I remember the other day, I am an avid dog lover and it's not often I see a donation box for homeless dogs near train stations. Plenty for cats but it was a first for me to see one for dogs too. I didn't have any change so I dropped my last bill on it and called a favor for a ride home. It happens. But everyday?at the cost of being a burden to other people too often? I've heard some stories about people like this and I thought them brave, great and cool but this story gave m my first real-like representation of it and far from admiration, I am disgusted by the stupi- no I can't use stupid for this, it's sheer craziness.
The last novel though made me end this anthology with a smile for simple silliness. I like it best of all despite the very silly ending. The measuring of the painting was absurb but no harm done to my temper so alls well that ends well. (^-^)
Solid three for all except the 2nd story which is a weak 2 for me. But hey Robb's in this so I'm rounding the total to 3.
