Salvation in Death (In Death, #27)

This one hit me, and I've got to say that I was really hoping that it would have turned out differently. Eve and Roake have to deal with a murder that opens up a lot of wounds in a community and revives some old ghosts in their lives too. I so wanted the fake priest to have made a true conversion, but he was just using the church for his personal reasons.
After five years at St. Christobal's, Father Miguel Flores is well loved and respected for his work at the church and with the youth center. The young priest dropped dead while performing a funeral mass and it is determined he was poisoned. When the autopsy is performed it is discovered that Father Flores is not at all who everyone thought he was. Eve now has to find a killer while not knowing who the real victim was. When a second murder takes place, she is left with more questions than answers and two bodies with nothing but religion in common.
